Aeotec Smart Home Hub 2/Aeotec Smart Home Hub Firmware (0.60.12) Update

Aeotec Smart Home Hub 2/Aeotec Smart Home Hub Firmware (0.60.12) Update

Aeotec will begin rolling out firmware version 0.60.12 starting on March 25, 2026. The rollout will happen in phases over several weeks, so your hub may not be updated immediately. Once the update is downloaded, your hub will briefly go offline while it reboots and applies the update. Most users will experience less than one minute of downtime.

Hubs to be updated:
  1. Samsung SmartThings Hub 2018 (Hub v3)
  2. Aeotec Smart Home Hub
  3. Aeotec Smart Home Hub 2
  4. ThingsOne Smart Home Hub

    3. Updated WebRTC and PushAV interactions to support multi-stream changes, enabling combined video and audio recording on supported cameras.
  3. Matter ICD (Intermittently Connected Device) Support
    1. Added support for LIT (Long-Idle Time) mode for longer battery life on LIT-capable ICDs.
    2. LIT mode support will be disabled by default, but can be enabled on a per-device basis for LIT-capable devices through https://my.smartthings.com/advanced/devices.
  4. Zigbee group handling improvements
    1. The hub now selectively sends follow-up unicast commands only to devices that fail to report a status update within the expected time, rather than sending unicasts to all devices after every group command. This reduces network utilization while maintaining reliability
