How to add the Foscam VD1 Video Doorbell to an ONVIF NVR

Connect Foscam VD1 via ONVIF to Uniview (or other) NVR

The Foscam VD1 video doorbell works with its own P2P cloud app, and it can also work as an ONVIF camera with many/most NVR systems that support ONVIF.  In order to connect it to an NVR we recommend you give it a static DHCP reservation in your router so it will always have the IP address.   Otherwise the VD1 IP address may change during a reboot.  The NVR must be on the same IP address range (eg.   192.168.1.xxx) as the doorbell.

Next turn on ONVIF support using the Foscam mobile app:





Then you can enter in your login credentials in to the NVR camera screen. 
  • Connection type IP Address
  • Protocol: ONVIF
  • Enter IP address of the VD1
  • Use port 888 for onvif
  • Enter username & password
