Adding Wireless to the E27 and When to Use the Bus Versions of the Wireless Cards

The AERF3 or AERF9 add wireless to the Elk Alarm Engine E27 panel.
These wireless cards are available as bare cards that connect to the panel.  Or as a bundle with a bus adapter.

The Elk E27 Alarm Engine main panel can accept one RF Receiver directly, either the AERF3 or AERF9.
The E27 RS485 bus can accept up to four AEXRFA3 or AEXRFA9 wireless bus adapter kits.

The bus connected versions would be used where multiple receivers are required, or where the receiver should be mounted remotely from the panel such as when the panel is installed in the basement but the receiver should be on the main floor.
