IQ Remote-PG Updated Firmware & Panel Compatibility
IQ Remote-PG (IQR-PG) units manufactured in June 2026 or later contain updated memory and firmware. These newer units require specific minimum software versions on the main IQ panel before they can be enrolled.
The main panel must be updated to the required software version before attempting to pair or enroll the IQ Remote-PG. Do not attempt enrollment on an unsupported or lower software version.
Required Software Versions
The following software baselines are required for compatibility with the updated IQ Remote-PG:
IQ Panel 4
- Software: 4.6.2 or later
- Patch Tag: iqpanel4.6.2
IQ Panel 5
- Software: 5.0.3 or later
- Patch Tag: iqpanel5.0.3
IQ Pro
- Software: 4.4.2n or later
- Patch Tag: iqpro4.4.2n
Important Compatibility Restriction
Once an IQ Remote-PG has been paired with a panel running one of the supported software baselines, the IQ Remote-PG cannot be downgraded for use with an earlier IQ Panel 4, IQ Panel 5, or IQ Pro software version.
This restriction applies even to IQ Remote-PG units manufactured before June 2026 if they have already been paired while running a supported software baseline.
Identifying Affected IQ Remote-PG Units
The manufacturing date can be identified using either the Serial Number (SN) or the Date Code:
- Serial Number: The SN is printed on both the IQ Remote-PG box and the device label. Units with an SN date code of 2619 or higher are affected. The date code is represented by digits 6–9 of the serial number.
- Box Date Code: The Date Code is printed on the box label only. Units marked 26/06 (June 2026) or later are affected.
