Universal Devices Serial to USB adapter for Insteon PLM
Now that Universal Devices ( UDI )has released EISY with USB ports, Insteon users will need to either purchase a 2413U USB PLM or try to use a serial to USB adapter. We carried a serial to USB adapter from UDI for a short time but no longer have it available. The parts are available on Amazon and Universal Devices can provide the pinout required advise which parts are needed to build an adapter.
However we recommend users to purchase a new 2413U USB PLM as it's an upgraded more powerful version compared to older 2413S PLMs.
Please check with UDI on the steps needed to transition to a new PLM.
