What are options for INSTEON hub without subscription fee?
Now that Insteon is charging an annual fee for the Insteon Hub cloud service, some customers are looking for other options. Unfortunately the fact is that running a cloud service is very expensive so it's not practical for most companies to offer completely free service forever.
For those looking for alternative solutions here are some other hubs or software that can support Insteon using either the Insteon Hub as the 'interface' or an Insteon PLM. However buying a new hub is also not free. You can find the Insteon Hub and other smart hubs for Insteon here:

EISY - requires 2413U PLM
Hometroller or Homeseer - using the "Mark Sandler software plug-in can support USB PLM or Insteon Hub.
Home Assistant - can support 2413U PLM or Insteon Hub
