Controlling X10 From 2412N SmartLinc


The 2412N SmartLinc was designed as a simple Insteon controller with some support for X10.  It has basic manual control of X10 devices by using the X10 control page (click the wrench Icon, look for ‘Open X10 Controller’).  It does not have a simple way to schedule X10 events however you can use their ‘custom command’ section to accomplish this.

In a nutshell:

Create a room, and then add a scene
Click on the scene
Click on ‘Click Here To Customize Controls’
For the ON or OFF line, check ‘custom command’ and then add your custom string to control your device(s).

Once you have the scene set up you can optionally create a timer on the scene.
