Problem with DSC Keypad Power or Devices Won't Power
Keep in mind that DSC Powerseries wired alarms can provide up to 700mA current to connected devices. While this is typically sufficient for multiple keypads and zone expanders, it is important to make sure this limit is not exceeded. The newer LCD keypads like PTK5507 in particular draw around 400-450mA of current per keypad so if multiple devices are used, particularly more than one PTK keypad it will be necessary to add an additional power supply such as PC5200 or PC5204 along with a power transformer and battery.
