Using a MiniMote for Zwave Control and Adding an Automated Hub

> Can I use a minimote controller to control a leviton light switch without a hub or bridge?

The minimote can be used to create a new Zwave network so you can use it to control a Leviton Zwave switch. When used alone it would be the Zwave 'Primary Controller'. If you are going to add an automated hub at some point, then the hub will want to be the primary controller generally speaking, so you'd need to either transfer Primary Control to the Hub and use the remote as secondary controller - if the hub supports this. Or you would need to remove the Zwave device(s) from the network and create a new Zwave network using the new Hub.
