ZWave Dimmer for LED Lights

ZWave Dimmer for LED Lights

If we are talking about screw in replacement LED bulbs available from a big box store, there is no guarantee from any vendor of any dimmer because there are too many variables. Certainly it has to be certified for dimming but they are not all created equal even within the same brand name or series.

However there is a 'low voltage electronic' dimmer from Leviton, part# VRE06-1LZ that is specifically designed for electronic low voltage loads like this. On paper, every other dimmer is for incandescent lighting.

If you want to be 100% safe, use an on/off switch instead without dimming and get a lower output bulb.

Or for better compatibility, buy LED lighting that works with a 0-10V dimming driver. Then you could use (Insteon) ballast/led dimmer. Not Zwave but another option.
