Chamberlain LiftMaster 881LM(W) Control Panel - Compatibility Note
The Liftmaster 881LM(W) motion-detecting control panel is designed for use with any Security +2.0 Garage Door openers. All Security +2.0 Garage Door openers are equipped with a yellow "learn" button.
At present, there is a specific exception to this rule: the LiftMaster 8500C Garage Door Opener. Despite its support for Security+ 2.0 technology and its yellow button, this model has been confirmed as incompatible with the 881LM(W) control panel.
The appropriate control panel for the LiftMaster 8500C Garage Door Opener is the LiftMaster MyQ Control Panel 889LM.
