Ecolink FFZB1-ECO with Home Assistant: Important Note
Although the
Ecolink FFZB1-ECO Firefighter Smoke and CO Detector Audio Detector is a Zigbee-certified device,
it is not compatible with Home Assistant. The device was designed for an older Zigbee implementation and requires features that Home Assistant's supported Zigbee integrations do not provide. As a result, the FFZB1-ECO cannot be paired or used reliably with Home Assistant.
Ecolink offers an equivalent Z-Wave model, the
FF-ZWAVE5-ECO, which provides a similar solution using the Z-Wave protocol. The device has been confirmed as compatible with Home Assistant, making it a suitable alternative if the setup provides Z-Wave support.
