Recommended GSM SIM module for Mobeye, Powermax and similar systems
If you're looking to add GSM texting to a powermax system or mobeye, or similar, most carriers don't have a very flexible plan or they are very expensive. We've found the 711 plan to be incredibly cost effective with SIM modules in the $10-$15 range and their pre-paid top ups last for 365 days, not 30 days like most other providers.

When you register the new SIM with them, give them any IMEI if they ask for it as it can be changed later, and you will need to be able to place one phone call with it to activate the line. So if your device can't make a phone call - give them the IMEI of a cell phone that you can use to call out and then once it's registered, put it in your new hardware.
We don't sell the modules, we are not affiliated with 711 and have no control over what they may or may not change but this was the best known advice at time of writing. We do know that many clients have used this solution, including ourselves for demo systems.
