Remote Management of Door Lock Codes with Hubitat

Remote Management of Door Lock Codes with Hubitat

Hubitat users can add or remove PIN codes for door locks using the web interface.  For remote management of lock codes, we recommend the optional (paid) Remote Admin Service.  Advanced users may wish to set up a vpn for remote access to their Hubitat smart home controller.

With Remote Admin, customers have complete access to all admin functions remotely, including apps and devices so they are able to remotely change door lock codes.  This can be accomplished by adding the free Lock Code Manager app from Hubitat.   User codes be set to be "always enabled", or they can be set to  enable or disable by date.   For information on using Lock Code Manager, click here.

There is also a way to remotely change door lock codes using Maker API if for programmers who may have their own app or integration needs.
