Insteon Phase Coupler or Repeater
Insteon used to make wired phase couplers and plug-in repeaters but those products have been discontinued as they are redundant. In fact ALL Insteon dual band devices automatically repeat the signal both wireless and on the powerline. So if you dual band devices on opposite phases you automatically have the same functionality as buying a repeater or phase coupler. It's important for these to be dual band devices - either plug-in or wire in.
If you're looking to solve range problems then it's a good idea to strategically place your Insteon devices to enhance their range. For example as above, put one on each phase of your electrical panel. You can also make sure you have them on each floor. For outbuildings, sheds, work shops, barns, boat houses, try to have one dual band device in the house on the same circuit that feeds the out building and one on the same circuit in the same outbuilding.
With Insteon, since all wired and plug-in devices are repeaters, the more you add the stronger the mesh becomes.
